Visconti - Van Gogh Oiran

The latest fountain pen from the Van Gogh collection by Visconti is Oiran, a fountain pen that pays tribute to the Japanese-influenced painting by Van Gogh (1887).

Having painted it during hid Japonisme period, a term that indicates the attraction and interest of French painters of the time towards the art of the Rising sun, the homonymous fountain pen, with its nuances, reproduces some of the colors used by the painter itself: a mix of cooler tones on the cap, while the barrel features warm ones.  A perfect match to the fountain pen is the metal coating of the trims in yellow gold.

The Van Gogh Oiran comes in a Van Gogh 2022 collection kit with a purple ink that matches one of the many shades of the traditional kimono worn by the woman in the painting, a booklet and a bookmark.
