Magnificent in its simplicity. The nib is tuned to perfection. The perfect size for most hands. A smooth no feedback nib that is very forgiving and is left hand friendly. The Urushi is smooth radiating an out of this world brilliance, paint strokes are evident with a 10x loop. And of course the fit and finish and Pilots quality control is flawless perfection.
The Leonardo Momento is a magnificent writing instrument. The grey translucent body give's a hint of its interior and allows you to see thr ink level. The feel on the the body is similar to the lava on a Visconti Homo Sapiens. The gold colored steel nib explodes with the name Leonardo surrounded with flourishes. The stub nib writes with minimal feedback and allows for some very nice line variation. It is an Excellent choice for left handed writers. Overall the fit and finish is flawless.
This is my first Leonardo pen and I am very impressed so far! I also have never tried a piston fill system and I am liking it. The pen is absolutely stunning and I do know that each pen by Jonathon Brooks is different however I was sent photos of the exact pen I was buying, of each side of it and for this I am very grateful to Pen Venture and their fabulous customer service. I was hesitant about ordering as I am in Canada but the shipping was very speedy and the "tariffs" were minimal!! I would not hesitate to order from Pen Venture again as this Leonardo is exquisite to write with as well as to look at!
