A phenomenal pen, wonderful balance from the material choices with the weight leaning slightly to the front. Great ink flow though I have no doubt an ebonite feed would have improved it. Arrived with quite a scratchy extra fine but I sorted that with little effort and honestly there is simply no beating the unique filling system or the absolutely perfect engineering and tolerances evident in Roy’s creation. Puts all else to shame (except maybe Gravitas of course).
Emy and the team were fantastic in arranging the shipping to perfection and keeping me informed himself throughout!
Fifty4T - Titan Slim Line Aluminium Emerald Shadow
I absolutely love this pen. The Fifty4T Titan Full Titanium has the bold, industrial character that makes a writing instrument feel genuinely special. The raw Grade 5 titanium, transparent barrel, oversized steel No. 8 Medium nib, and ingenious Titan filling system come together beautifully. It has tremendous presence, yet the design remains purposeful and refined rather than flashy for its own sake. The nib is a joy to use and feels perfectly matched to the scale and character of the pen. This is the kind of pen that makes me want to pick it up every time I see it.
The presentation was excellent as well. The briefcase-style case looks fantastic and is useful enough that I plan to reuse it for other pens. Emy and the Pen Venture team handled my order with exceptional care and personal attention, making the entire purchase feel special from beginning to end.
This has quickly become one of my favorite pens. I would recommend both the Fifty4T Titan and Pen Venture without hesitation.
I genuinely love this Titanium Pocket and intend to keep and enjoy it for a long time. It arrived in exceptionally careful packaging with a thoughtful handwritten note from the Pen Venture team.
The carbon finish looks and feels fantastic in person, and I am extremely pleased with the pen. It arrived in exceptionally careful packaging, along with a thoughtful handwritten note. Emy and the Pen Venture team clearly took extra care with my order, which made the entire purchase feel very personal.
I purchased this Gravitas Twist (Grade 5 titanium) and wanted to share my thoughts.
• The tip shows zero wobble while writing — the build feels extremely solid.
• The twist mechanism has a clear rotational feel, but it reads more as a “push” motion than a gadget-like click. There’s no satisfying tactile snap in the hand, so this may not suit everyone’s taste.
• The coating’s color is beautiful and pairs especially well with a leather pen case — I really like this combination.
• The center of gravity sits fairly high, giving a sense that the pen swings a bit while writing. Those with smaller hands may find this top-heavy balance noticeable.
• This feels less like a pen optimized for writing feel, and more like an object meant to be enjoyed simply for how it sits in the hand.
• Being titanium, it’s light, yet the rigidity is very pronounced — well suited to those who write with a heavy hand.
• The coating feels extremely durable; I’d expect it to resist both discoloration and scratches over time.
I love the feel of this pen. I am a fan of a pen that feels like it has heft. The Sentry in copper absolutely fits the bill. Unfortunately for me, I find the nib to be a bit challenging in terms of flow. A bit of a search tells me this isnt ridiculously uncommon and there are various things to try to fix it. I've ordered a new nib separately. While there are other steps I could have gone through to try to resolve, it seems like a problem I shouldn't have with a brand new pen.
Still 4 stars because everything about this pen is magnificent.
