This pen is beautifully crafted and has a remarkable filling system that is a joy to use and holds a remarkable 4.0ml of ink. The nib writes very smoothly but…skips a bit and even occasionally railroads. I’ve cleaned the pen thoroughly, tried different inks, and even tried a wetting agent (White Lightning). These have helped some, but not eliminated the problem. I honestly am a bit disappointed. Perhaps PV will get back to me with a solution.
This is my second Gravitas pen. The Monster was my first one first. Pen Venture's customer service is fantastic! Processing and Shipping were fast with no problems. The pen itself is great. Very well made. Fit and finish are exacting. The BROAD nib is super juicy and lays down a thick, commanding, wet line. Perfect for signatures and list making. The nib came perfectly tuned. Emy's high-quality videos really helped me to decide on the purchases.
Fantastic pen that gives my 823 a run for its money. I’ve never gotten such a nice note from a vendor—like getting a gift from a friend. Pen shipped surprisingly fast to the United States and customs weren’t bad.
If you are even vaguely considering it—do! Great experience and amazing pen!
I love the pen. It’s one of the smoothest pens I have ❤️ I got it in the black version and it’s the best choice for someone like me who likes more pigmented inks and is not the most patient with the cleaning process. The medium nib is closer to a European medium (similar to Lamy Al Star Medium) so keep that in mind. Absolutely loved the letter from Emi, didn’t expect it so it was a lovely surprise and a personal touch that I haven’t experienced with other known retailers.
