Visconti - Homo Sapiens Dark Crystal

Visconti came up with a new Homo Sapiens, a total black demonstrator collection: Dark Crystal. This fountain pen combines a blend of resin and lava powder with some Homo Sapiens Dark Age features, like shiny black metalwork and 18kt ruthenium finished nib. The transparent barrel is in sync with the dark theme, having a special smoky effect.

The mixture of resin and lava powder makes the pen practically unbreakable. The barrel of the HS Dark Crystal is made of transparent smoked resin and is engraved with the name of the collection.

Made of polished black brass, the iconic clip and the Visconti logo stand out against the black and ivory set-up. The logo on the cap of the pen picks up the dark color of the whole writing instrument but can be personalized thanks to Visconti's Mypensystem.

Each lava pen is made from small parts up to 8 cm long that undergo special techniques using dedicated machines. All metal and transparent parts are polished by hand, while the resin and basaltic lava parts are processed to a characteristic leather/soft feel.

Dedicated to all those who are looking for a functional and elegant writing instrument, enhanced with technical and stylistic features that make it a unique object of its kind, the new Dark Crystal is equipped with the famous bayonet closure and the power filler double reservoir that guarantees a long writing session, and also protection against accidental ink spilling thanks to the two separate chambers.

This pen comes equipped with the ruthenium-plated Visconti - 18kt gold nib. You can choose the nib from the 5 sizes available: Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, Broad, and Stub 1.3mm. The 18k gold nib is made in-house by Visconti and offers a true and original writing experience.
