Each fountain pen from the SE Sailor Manyo collection is inspired by the Manyo ink collection, named after Manyosyu, the oldest anthology of Japanese poetry collected over a period of four centuries. Each fountain pen in the Manyo collection is a combination of two different colors from the Manyo ink collection.

Dianthus is a combination between Nadeshiko and Chigaya, with a dianthus flower represented on the cap.
