Platinum Mixable Inks are water-based dye ink specially developed for fountain pens while allowing users to create custom colors. The inks in this series can be mixed together to produce a wide range of shades, and Platinum also offers a dilution liquid to adjust color intensity. For best results, inks should always be mixed outside the pen in a separate container and tested before filling. It is recommended to allow the mixture to rest for 24–48 hours to ensure stability. These inks are designed to be mixed only with other inks from the Platinum Mixable Ink series. Mixing them with other types of ink, such as pigment, shimmer, iron gall or permanent inks - may cause precipitation or clogging and should be avoided. As with any fountain pen ink, regular cleaning of the pen is recommended, particularly when using custom mixes, to maintain smooth ink flow and protect the internal components of the writing instrument.
