The 1670 Inks Collection was launched in 2010 to celebrate Jacques Herbin's 340th anniversary and the founding of the company in Paris.

The 1670 Inks Collection features 7 unique shades with gold shimmer, made from vegan, plant-based dyes.

The fifth color, "Caroube de Chypre," is a rich cocoa brown ink with golden reflections and a stunning red shimmer. Named after the carob pods Jacques Herbin enjoyed on his travels, carobs have been valued in the Mediterranean for their therapeutic properties and were known as "Cyprus's black gold."

Each bottle has a hand-applied wax seal on the cap and front, made in France.

Due to the shimmer particles, ink flow may be limited in some pens. Shake well before use, roll the pen frequently, and clean your pen after use to maintain ink flow and prevent clogging.
