There's a lot about this pen that I do really like but several things that do get in the way and have me considering a return.
First off, the service was great. Pen shipped from Pen Venture within 24 hours and was at my door about 3 days later. For the pen itself, nib was tuned excellently. Very smooth writer with consistent flow. Starts about every time without issue. The grip is comfortable for longer writing sections and the pen is well balanced overall. Takes a while for my hand to really tire.
For my nitpicks, the ultem threads will show wear after interacting with the metal male threads. Both on the cap and the plunger end. The cap threads are holding up better but I do notice some flecks of plastic in the titanium threads every so often no matter how careful I am. The plunger cap had a significant grit and grind to it when I first received it. Some cleaning and silicone grease has helped to mitigate that, but it's still present.
The parts of the pen that have me considering a return are the nib and plunger. While the nib is a smooth and wet writer, it's almost too wet. I ordered a gold medium nib. Choice of ink is key here because using Diamine Onyx black, it was almost puking ink out. Writes more like a broad or double broad. Great if you like that size but not for my use case. Drier inks can mitigate this issue but not by much. The biggest problem I have is the use of the plunger. It's a very stiff mechanism that likes to fight me when I'm pulling the plunger up to start a refill. The larger rubber/silicone cap insight the plunger has popped off the rod inside the barrel several times. Renders the whole mechanism useless. I can get it to go back on but this requires disassembly of the whole thing. Not a fun process when going to do a basic fill.

This pen is of the highest quality. Its build quality and writing experience is beyond what one would expect.
Along with the pen, I received a hand written letter from Emy, wishing me well with my new friend. I found the note just an added touch of class and quality that this company exudes.
This pen is quite substantial as you can see in the pictures, compared to a Pilot 823 which is already a large pen. Perfect for my hands.
The writing experience and the way the nib (EF) has been tuned is over the top. It's my best steel nib I now own, absolutely perfect. Flow is normal to wet, smooth, precise and just a tad of feedback.
The size of the section made the pen fit in my hand immediately at home. Really amazing.
The ultem is what I was looking for as I was already a fan of this material for my guitar picks.
It doesn't slip, it doesn't stick, just perfect control.
So why 4 stars then? The cap.
The cap had machining traces of threading inside where it's not supposed to be, the ultem has some sparkle in it as it was heated a bit in certain light conditions but above all, if you don't care, you could cross thread this guy very easily as sometimes you feel the cap engages the wrong way on the titanium threads of the body of the pen.
