This exquisite pen isn’t just for writing; it’s a celebration of distinction and ingenuity, meticulously crafted to provide a tactile and visual connection to the timeless game of chess.

The Checkmate is uniquely designed to serve as a miniature chessboard, capturing the intricate details of an 8x8 grid in a stunning three-dimensional cylindrical format. Magnetic chess pieces, crafted for precise maneuvering, allow users to transform any environment into a creative battleground where strategy unfolds with every move. Encased in fine bronze with a beautifully enameled checkerboard, each square is masterfully detailed, while the sides are engraved with letters A to H, authentically reflecting the traditional chessboard layout. This attention to detail is paired with practical features, including a cap engraved with “Visconti” and “Checkmate,” ensuring both elegance and ease in every use.

Presented in an elegant chessboard-inspired box of refined wood in ivory and brown tones, Checkmate is more than a writing instrument—it is an immersive experience. The custom case includes 32 miniature chess pieces in silver and bronze, allowing the pen to serve not only as a tool but as a game. True to Visconti's legacy of innovation, the Checkmate pen is equipped with an 18kt gold nib, double reservoir power filler, and a magnetic closure that perfectly aligns the chess pattern.
