Diamine is an ink manufacturer established in England in 1864. Offering a wide range of non-toxic water based fountain pen inks.

We partnered with Diamine to create an exclusive special ink color. The Brown Black Adenium flower is also named Desert Rose and inspired us to create our own ink.
Like the Desert Rose flower this ink is displaying a dark and rich purple shade with a glowing green gold sheen once is dry.

Diamine inks are suited for all brands of fountain pens. This glass bottle has a volume of 80ml of ink.

Desert Rose is a beautiful, elegant ink with a soft dusty rose color that stands out from the typical reds and purples. I currently have it inked in my Laban, and it’s a perfect match. The ink has excellent flow, looks sophisticated on the page, and gives the pen a unique personality. It’s a color that always catches my eye when I flip through my notebook.

There is nothing not to like

Everything from the brand and flow to the color is just perfect.
I am obsessed with the sheen as well as as the base color.

Penultimate Dave did an amazing review of this ink which resulted in an instant purchase by me. My first experience was on Tomoe River. The dried result looked like a leprechaun had relations with a shamrock. The gold was so bright, so intense, I thought it might be shimmer in the ink. Nope, just sheen like I’ve never seen. Just know, the moisture from your breath alone could cause this ink to smudge. On other paper, Clairefontaine, Rhodia, etc, my experience, it looked like Pilot’s Take-sumi. Dark, no sheen could be seen. Maybe slightly on the Rhodia but very difficult for me to see. Love the ink, love the bottle too. Desert Rose, the perfect name. If you live in the USA with tax, vats, tarrifs, shipping, etc, and you love this ink, I would suggest purchasing two bottles. Total cost for one bottle was about eight pints of Guinness in downtown London.
