Introducing the Chinkin Collection, a series of fountain pens that showcase the exquisite "Chinkin (Gold Inlay)" technique, a lacquerware artistry that Japan proudly presents alongside Maki-e. Specialized chisels meticulously carve motifs into the lacquered surface, followed by the inlay of lacquer in grooves, with the addition of gold leaves and powder to bring the pattern to life. The distinctive features of this collection include delicate and finely detailed depictions and a three-dimensional aspect brimming with expressive power.

Given that Chinkin is a precision carving technique, there is no room for errors, making each carve a genuine challenge in every sense of the word.

The Namiki Emperor Chinkin Dragon stands as an extraordinary masterpiece by the renowned Maki-e artist, Yasuji Sumi. Each pen undergoes meticulous hand chinkin techniques, a process that may extend up to a year for completion.

The Chinkin Emperor Dragon offers versatility with a #50 18k gold nib in Fine-Medium, Medium, or Broad options. The large-capacity barrel is filled with ink via eyedropper, and the pen is elegantly presented in a packaging box alongside a bottle of blue ink and a signature card.
