Leonardo - Momento Magico DNA Black & Orange

Pen Venture was a huge help in solving the problem I had with my DNA. They sent me a new nib unit free of charge. As soon as I received it, I knew exactly what the problem was. The original nib unit was missing the little air exchange piece that extends into the piston area and allows the ink to flow to the paper. With the new unit, the pen works perfectly, and Emy tuned the nib just right. Thanks so much, Emy! Your attention to customer service was greatly appreciated! greatly

This was my first order at Pen Venture. It was shipped immediately and didn't take but a day or two more than it would have it I had ordered from a US pen company (none of which had the pen with the nib I wanted — elastic fine). I commend Pen Venture for its speedy processing.

This is my fourth Leonardo, a brand that I love. Even its steel nibs are excellent writers, requiring very little tuning. When I first filled this pen, it was no exception. I didn't keep track of the number of pages, but the 1.5 ml capacity kept it going quite a while. Since then, however, it's been writing only about half a page and then acts like it's dried up (though there's still plenty of ink in the barrel). I assume that there's a blockage in the feed assembly. I've disassembled the feed/nib and cleaned it with a long soak in 10% ammonia solution and some gentle brushing, but so far I haven't been able to get it working. Pen Venture has been responsive, though, and given the excellence of the Leonardo brand, I have no doubt that we'll get it working and that it will be every bit as impressive and pleasurable as my other Leonardos.
