The inks in the 1670 range were launched in 2010 and commemorate the 340th anniversary of Jacques Herbin, as well as the year the Jacques Herbin house was founded in the heart of Paris.
The story began during a journey to India, where navigator Jacques Herbin brought back the formula for shellac. Using this discovery, Jacques Herbin created the Herbin company, which later became Jacques Herbin, and began producing and selling first a high-quality sealing wax known for its adhesion and fine finish. Jacques Herbin quickly made a name for himself at the court of King Louis XIV.
The 1670 Inks collection includes the five unique writing ink shades each containing 10ml of ink with golden shimmer. It is a vegan ink, made from plant-based dyes.
